Licence to Sin

My previous post here looked at one area where some people are apparently now 'authorised' to commit the kind of violence they had been doing for years already. The main point, though, was the seeming legitimisation of the violence.

Now we have let that sink in during the days since I posted that, it is perhaps a good time to look at the broader picture. Ultimately, it is the Satanic agenda that embraces and encourages sin of various kinds – including deception, polygamy, theft, child abuse and violence in general.

This in itself is absolute proof that there is nothing of God or of righteousness in those political, religious or secretive movements (the three 'legs' of the devil's support tripod that I have mentioned before) that 'authorise' any of those things, let alone practise them. God hates sin, and certainly doesn't seek to encourage or condone it. Thus these, where sin is embedded at their core, cannot be of God and never have been.

Although it is often hidden out of public gaze, and camouflaged by nice-sounding passages that can be quoted to give the organisation (or whatever) an acceptable public face, the reality is always there, lurking beneath the surface – or suddenly exploding into our consciousness.

Often the participants don't realise what they are getting themselves into – such as secret society initiation rituals where the initiate doesn't know what vows he is going to make until he has to repeat what is read out to him. Those of the Freemasons are quite horrific, for example – though their officials try to make out that it isn't 'literal'. Of course it is: otherwise the wording would have been changed, obviously. Interestingly, Jack the Ripper applied Masonic punishments to his victims; though no-one outside the Brotherhood knew their origin back then.

Always one finds harming and other sins allowed, even encouraged and sometimes enforced, with all the Satanic 'tripod legs'. Thus we can fairly easily determine which parts of our society are under the devil's full control. I do realise that there are some grey areas, and much misinformation around besides, but most people with a reasonably functioning brain should be able to sort the wheat from the chaff – apart from those with their own warped agenda, which also usually turns out to be Satanic only they don't often realise that fact. That, though, is another story…

Wheels Within Wheels

So, with the atrocities in Paris last night, I suspect even more people around the globe will become ever more aware of the evil that is in the world these days. All sorts of blames and accusations will be flung hither and yon, especially by those with their own preferred slant – perhaps even outright prejudices.

Perhaps all too predictably, this latest attack by several gunmen was, according to what one reportedly called out, in retaliation for involvement in Syria. Cue accusations of 'Muslims' and 'refugees' – which has already happened, but misses the target.

The reality is that these were people who were happy at inflicting violence, at killing. It was easy for them, and they schemed and planned to make it happen. Whatever their stated 'cause', it was in the first place a licence to indulge their blood-lust. Such a severely deranged (and dangerous) mental state is required to be able to behave in that manner.

Ultimately it doesn't really matter what the supposed 'cause' is or is stated to be: such people will find a way to do what they have a lust to do. They are ideal foot-soldiers for the New World Order – the real force behind all of this and much more.

And that is what this is really all about.

All the bad stuff in the world that has been ramping up over several years now is a sign not just of the 'end times', but of the end days – which is allegorical, as it will encompass quite a few years all told, most of which has now passed. We are very close indeed to the time for which the Antichrist will be allowed to rule. His throne was installed in the Vatican a few years ago, and he might even have been formally enthroned by now.

To Roman Catholic officials who like to claim that the throne is nothing more than 'a piece of tasteless art' (two of them have previously tried that line with me) I'd counter that we have already seen the artworks of the design for this throne, and it is a close enough match to be beyond any reasonable doubt.

That is the point of origin, one might call it, but there are several distinct but sometimes overlapping components to the New World Order structure, which is designed to enslave us all. First we have

Secret Societies

There is no legitimate reason for a society to be at all secretive unless what it is doing is so dubious in nature as to necessitate it. That is a truism, with no apparent exceptions apart from governmental security services for obvious reasons; and even those we know about to some extent.

The Illuminati seem to have been the main engineers in establishing the New World Order; and were certainly responsible for telling those who were watching and waiting around the world that it was eventually fully in place, by having their pyramid with the 'all-seeing eye' put on the American dollar banknote. There is no other reason for its presence there, of course.

The Freemasons are the more visible of the main secret societies, and look to be intended to become the day-to-day managers of the new order, reporting to their Illuminati bosses, who in turn will no doubt report directly to the entity on that throne.

Religions

There are many religions, nearly all mutually incompatible and a few directly contradictory. Obviously they cannot all be right, and many (perhaps most) will no doubt turn out to have been either created by the devil or encouraged by him. It is easy enough to eliminate those that are obviously incompatible with the nature of God or us, are non-corroborated, or appeared at a seemingly pointless time, such as between Jesus' first and second comings. There is no need for anything new to suddenly come into being in between, as it has all been covered already.

The reason for all these others is firstly to misdirect people, and the second is to encourage atheism by having folk tar all religions with the same brush and end up throwing the baby out with the bathwater. (How's that for a mixed metaphor?) Atheism is of course lazy, ignorant or willful, and means not having even a fraction of a clue about why anything exists, including ourselves. Still, that's the choice of many, made much more commonplace because of all the 'dodgy' faiths out there.

Fortunately, the Holy Bible is consistent with the nature of God (as we can experience, which is encouraged), it has so many observers, chroniclers, participants and prophets writing in it that even the last of those four categories has to be divided into Major Prophets and Minor Prophets. And that's just those who had books named after them! There are other ways to tell what has the ring of truth about it and what hasn't, too many to go into here.

This doesn't mean that the devil hasn't tried to subvert (and succeeded) genuine formalised religions, as the business with the Vatican that I mentioned above attests. If one keeps to the Word, though, especially the New Testament, rather than the word of corruptible humans, then one can't go far wrong, if at all...

Political Structures

It will come as little surprise that this is another key area for Satan to have had a strong foothold for many years and in fact decades – probably longer, but perhaps less acutely felt, especially here in Britain. Although any part of our political establishment could in theory be turned, it was here – as in other countries – that the political left were the easy targets. It was so simple to nudge them toward a dependency on deception, theft and manipulation, ending up ultimately in oppression and totalitarianism.

It seems nowadays that all the significant Left around the world is in thrall to the devil – and there is a huge wealth of instances that even I could relate, and I am sure there are numerous others with their own experiences and what they have witnessed. I can think of no notables exceptions to this seemingly solid rule, but perhaps I have missed something.

Overall, all these wheels are turning all the time, largely independently of the others, but together they are a formidable force, all ready to move up the gears when it all starts to kick-off in earnest. With the Paris killings, I think we now have an early warning that we are very close to that time!

Sunday Slot – 29 December 2013

I haven't written one of these for over three months, for a very good reason. After the revelations in the videos I embedded here back then, I (not unexpectedly) started to receive some 'interesting' responses from, specifically, within the Roman Catholic church.

Were these contributions facing up to the issues raised in the videos, much of which is easy enough to verify from history? No: like a Lefty politician would probably do when the game is up, it was the usual selection of diversionary tactics including ad hominem  attacks on me as the messenger. Not one of them dealt with any point raised in the revelations – which, interestingly, were and are tied into the biblical Book of Revelation.

They knew, and were complicit: there is no other possible reason for taking that approach. Put yourself in an analogous position, and ponder how you'd respond. Yup, clear-cur, isn't it?

That warned me; so I have allowed what I hope is enough time to elapse so that they think they have cowed me into inaction. They are wrong: I have never stopped letting others know, and enough seeds have now been sown that – now – more harm would be done to the Satanists' cause by acting against me in any way, than would occur if they just ignore me.

Interestingly, the only comment that did relate to anything specific was in relation to the second video in that earlier post, concerning the Throne of Satan – as even Vatican staff refer to it, and they aren't joking either! Take a look at these photographs of it and see what you think.

The comment tried to suggest that it was just 'poor taste in art' or words to that effect; but it must be obvious to anyone, by looking at the original illustration of what was to be Satan's throne, that it was clearly deliberately modelled on that. It is inconceivable that the commissioning Vatican official(s) could have been unaware of the original design and it is all an unlucky coincidence, just because it isn't a precise copy. We weren't born yesterday...

Unfortunately for the Catholic professional trolls (for that is how they behaved), I have considerable experience of that kind of beast, so had not a moment's difficulty in sussing out what they were really doing or why. Their reaction to what I posted confirms so much more strongly than anything I could have written just how strong a grip the devil has upon that organisation, and of course also does nothing to contradict the historically vacked-up contention that it has been so for many centuries..

While it is hardly surprising that an unscrupulous and completely immoral opponent should infiltrate and seek to corrupt his opponent's most important edifices, subverting and undermining from within, this is a most dangerous time when some very big things are set to occur soon. We are now aware that the anti-Christ has been on Earth for some time, and that his throne has been prepared. Armed with that knowledge, we are now better equipped to prepare ourselves for what is shortly to come upon us.

We shall all need God's help and guidance, through His Holy Spirit, to get us through the tough times ahead. Already, persecution and murder of Christians by certain seemingly satanic movements is rife: it's always there, out in the world, but has reached a whole new proportion in recent years (also this). That specific targeting, which often also includes the Jews, demonstrates very clearly where it originates and gives a huge and unmistakeable clue about its origin (only the devil in specifically interested in those two groupings, and content to ignore all others).

This is a dangerous time. May all the good, decent people of Planet Earth survive intact what is yet to come, the spiritual storm that brings a tide of crazed inhumanity in its wake, with murder in their eyes and blood already on their hands, either as individuals or collectively. They are with Satan and obviously so: we must be with the true God, no matter what it brings for us personally.

We know which side will win out in the end, and after a relatively short period: it has been foretold. We just have to stick it out – somehow – while the oppressors, the persecutors and the murderers around us try to change the already-known future. Ultimately they will fail!

Sunday Slot – 8 September 2013

More video this week, but quite a bit shorter. These combined last under half an hour, and cover the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, if one goes along with the signs and their meanings, regarding what we know as the Roman Catholic Church.

The evidence as presented seems quite compelling, but I leave it to you to make of it as you will. The first video lasts some 21 minutes, which it needs to do in order to cover the necessary ground properly...

As if that wasn't sufficient, this under-four-minute second video shows us what is being called Satan's Throne inside the Vatican, a truly ghastly thing (and I have closely inspected a high-resolution image of it) that was constructed during the past few years in readiness for what last week's Sunday Slot covered in terms of what is to come all too soon...

It looks like the Roman Catholic Church was had a very mixed past, but in better times had Popes (especially Pius IX, X and XI) and senior people who tried to take it back to the straight and narrow and keep it there. Sadly, as this very instructive booklet indicates, eventually it was all allowed to slip and the Freemasons' apparently satanic and socialist (much the same thing, of course) agenda permitted to infiltrate the Vatican and elsewhere. The booklet is strongly recommended reading, even if not all in one go as I did (including the appendices after the notes).

Now, I was once shown a Freemasons' 'temple', in which it was notable that a number of large, locked cupboards lined the walls. Who knows what manner of items were stored in all that space? I also saw 'the square' and recognised the pattern thereupon, and my innate sensitivity felt something of the truth about that place. My ward colleague mistook the feel of the place as somehow 'holy', but as a Sensitive I was not misled in that way. I was non-committal in my response.

I was there officially for lunch downstairs, but I got away from the place as soon as I could and missed the lunch (I had a valid excuse for doing this, so no-one was any the wiser). Although, of necessity, I have had to deal with known Freemasons since that time, I have never been in any doubt about their true nature, and the linked booklet shows what that is more completely and eloquently than I could.

So there we have it. As with last week's offering, and no doubt others to come in the future, all this is important material, and I have already done some checking against other sources and weeded out anything that is less than virtually certainly true before it gets here. I have my doubts about a few matters, including what seems to be a conflation of God and Satan through a fixation on 'Our Lady' as the booklet's preferred deity; but there is still much truth to be garnered, whether or not one accepts that aspect.

I thus hope to be genuinely informative by doing much of the work when researching these uncomfortable topics, and with any luck will have helped some to be prepared for what looks to be imminent.

Sunday Slot – 18 August 2013

I found this from Chief Rabbi Jonathon Sacks a couple of months ago, and have held back from including a link and reference to it until some of my other Sunday Slots were in place and readers had been given a chance to digest them.

It is important to read through the whole article, as it covers the ground from a range of viewpoints and directly quoting several notables in the process. It all hangs together, dealing with the subject of religion in society, rather than individual faith per se.

The conclusion, borne out by history both ancient and modern, is that a society falls apart when it loses its religion (as R.E.M. might have put it) – specifically, the Judeo-Christian kind of ethic.

As the man intimates, we are already seeing some of the effects of this happening in British society in parallel with the shift away from (mainly, in this nation) Christianity. While there is far from a hundred percent obvious correlation between the specifics that the Chief Rabbi cites (e.g. the various scandals in recent years) and that religious shift, it can no doubt be demonstrated by insiders that the connection is a lot closer than it appears on the surface, as we see in the public gaze.

There is also the devil working in the background to encourage all of this, and almost certainly manipulating a lot of people and, through them, events to make sure that our society does collapse – which is one of his primary aims. In this Satan is aided by atheists, Islamic and other fundamentalists, the political left, and probably a range of others as well.

It really is necessary to understand that there is a war going on in the world, non-stop, between the forces of good and evil. Cliché it might seem to be, but that's how it is. The obvious military-like planning, propaganda, subversion, attrition and all the other (mostly invisible) aspects of war are all going on constantly, and the considerable majority of people seem to be blissfully unaware of it and are thus ripe for the picking.

They more-or-less sleepwalk into doing the devil's work, whether they realise it or not. Note that this includes all Lefties, regardless of whether they are deluding themselves into believing otherwise. In the church, this represents one aspect of subverting Christianity – just as, say, Common Purpose 'graduates' are placed where they are to subvert and degrade the performance of whichever organisation they have infiltrated.

Same method, same cause, same originator.

Knowing all of this (as I and many others do) is why I have to take such a robust stance, as it is the only way to 'fight the good fight' (with all my might).. Those who seek to persuade me and my readers otherwise are, quite obviously, serving a different deity from the one I try to serve, in their case the Great Deceiver.

While on the surface they can be doing good works (hopefully) their thinking is skewed if that can even for a minute believe that an ideology that universally, world-wide, is based entirely on deception, theft, oppression, casual murder (and encompasses virtually all the mass murder the world has known for at least the last hundred years), State-veneration (Communism and especially Fascism) and the destruction of Judeo-Christian worship, among other obviously ungodly ideologies of the Left.

Don't be taken in by all their 'helping the poor' and similar nonsense: they depend on keeping as many people as possible poor, so they become dependent upon the State for handouts and similar. The idea olf 'helping the poor' is just the (increasingly transparent over time) sales pitch, which then becomes the self-justification for and by those who were fooled and are now effectively trapped. Some of them do have the wits to realise they were conned, but not many...

In much the same way, don't be fooled by atheists into taking this great nation further down the road to collapse and, ultimately, barbarism and savagery. Other places who have already trodden that frighteningly inhuman path should act as a permanent warning to the rest of us.

Sunday Slot – 2 June 2013

This is the first of a series of weekly Sunday posts with a Christian slant. They will be from my own perception, applying my own intellect, rather than taken from other sources of commentary. I hope they will be illuminating, especially to those who are not Christians themselves.

As long-term readers here will be aware, I do try to be as informative as I can be, with a 'clean' and often original approach that doesn't slavishly follow what others have written previously (at least, to my knowledge) but using this powerful tool I have – my brain – to get to the core of an issue.

I think my track record speaks for itself...

The Battle for Souls

The Universe didn't just magically appear out of nowhere, made from nothing and having no purpose. There is no conceivable reason for that to have happened, and it certainly wouldn't have resulted in a cosmos anything like what actually exists, even if it had happened for some unaccountable reason.

Therefore it surely has to have been created, with at least one overarching purpose, and is in the form it is for very important reasons – not that we are likely to be able to grasp more than an inkling of that from where we stand, but we have the innate intellidence to recognise that truth.

Similarly, those of us (myself excluded) who are parents recognise the need to let our offspring go their own ways and be their own people, without undue intrusion or interference. How much more that must count with an entity capable of creating an entire Universe and us along with it is impossible for us to fathom.

Thus we have a seemingly detached 'good father' who nonetheless devised a way to become three separate parts, right from the outset of the 'Universe Project' as we might call it, so that he could come among us in our own form, and leave behind a 'Holy Spirit' who has been in the world for around two thousand years now. These underpinned the then emerging updated religion of the Jews that became Christianity.

Against this backdrop is the opposing force of Satan, the devil, also known as Lucifer.

In the battle for souls, which is certainly how Satan looks upon it, he did what any competent strategist (if sufficiently malign) would do: he spread misinformation by encouraging and assisting in the creation of a number of false ideologies, in various parts of the world, over the centuries.

The idea as I see it was twofold: to split off potential adherents of Christ and his Heavenly Father, and for others to come to the conclusion that as they all differed, none could be right. Thus atheism spread, the labelling of true faith as 'superstition', and all the other cop-outs from rational thought (though often dressed up as 'rational' themselves, but in reality only pseudo, as none of them can explain either the Universe or us).

He had started well before the coming of the Christ, and by that era had established a number of successful (and, one can surmise, many more unsuccessful) faiths and philosophies that acted like religions (e.g. Buddhism), all seemingly benign and positive in outlook – at least if one didn't look too deeply.

.After the coming of the Christ, the devil must have been getting desperate, as although the false leads he had in effect sponsored were having quite significant impacts, there was now the Good News (Gospel) with which to contend. This needed a much more aggressive approach, effectively compelling anyone born into any place dominated by the new 'faith' to either follow slavishly or suffer a painful death.

It has to have been particularly difficult in practice as (a) there was no reason whatsoever for any new religious expansion or addition between the first and second comings of Christ, and (b) it needed the right kind of seriously flawed and, indeed, corrupt (and even more corruptible) human individual to act as the conduit for foisting this oh-so-obviously fake pseudo-religion onto the masses.

Eventually, after several centuries, someone suitable was found: a warlord who could be inveigled into even more serious murder and other nasty stuff, including a way to overcome a former moral restriction that the perverse nature of this individual strongly desired could be overcome somehow.

As for the devil's desperation: when he was dictating this new religion to the prophet on the mountainside, part of that was that those born into communities controlled by the new faith were not allowed to choose to leave. As a strong disincentive, a painful death was to be meted out to any who tried to leave.

Does all of that negate the other religions? Not necessarily; as despite their probable origins, people can live decent and God-aware lives despite the intended outcome of the evil one. He is just a big failure, and in a curious way this twist is further evidence of that. Humanity, especially when allied with God, is better and stronger than the devil – though of course not everyone can resist evil, even the more severe kinds

The specifics of the 'warlord' example I touched upon above are not in themselves all that important: it is the method the devil used that should keep us all alert to his ways. I have fallen prey to his 'whisperings' in the past, so am well aware of how easy it is to be lulled into a trap if 'sold' a right-sounding message without at the time being aware of its origin. He still attacks me frequently, both directly and by getting others to act against me, so again I can speak from personal experience on this.

There are others I know who have had their own encounters with Satan, and those are so obviously genuine (in the 'you couldn't make it up' category) that a consistent picture of the true battle going on for human souls is revealed even more clearly than simply taking it on trust from scripture.

This is real, it affects all of us, and none of us should fall into the trap of 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater' by 'tarring all with the same brush' (how's that for a mixed metaphor?), usually done for reasons sparked by the activities of (necessarily flawed) human beings rather than the faith itself. That's a common failing with agnostics in particular, and atheists in some cases as well. They've all missed the vital clues that surround our lives at all times...

Persecution

Although I am pleased that The Commentator is one of the relatively few publications that seek to redress the anti-Israel slant, and the broader issue of anti-Semitism, it does sometimes seem a somewhat one-dimensional stance they take.

Fortunately, today they are looking at the (if anything, even bigger) issue of Christian persecution and slaughter, at least some of which is experienced in two-thirds of the nations of the world. That article also covers the lack of media attention being paid to this situation.

Note the fear that is being generated; also that the two biggest sources of this persecution are Communism and Islam.

Now, long-term readers who took notice of what I have written on previous occasions will be aware that – as so often – I have always recommended looking for the clues as to why all this is happening. The bottom line remains that the devil is, naturally enough, targeting the real faiths (Judaism, which stopped BC, and Christianity, which also continued thereafter) using his followers and those gullible enough to be persuaded to do the same.

Those who remember Sam Neill's portrayal of Damian in The Omen III will be aware of just what can be done by someone like that; and so we find it in real life too. Many groups and organisations are easily manipulated in this way, including all the political Left of the world and their associated offshoots such as Unions, many large media outlets, some Think Tanks, subversive organisations, and others besides.

Thus it was inevitable that the devil's only true enemies would be the primary targets (the other conflicts are just part of the general melée where we are all pitched against one another, as I have touched upon before) although it has taken time to set up the scale of anti-Christian persecution that we have today – and it will almost certainly grow a lot worse in the months and years to come.

Interestingly, for the more perceptive, the big clue this provides (especially to agnostics) is that very fact that there can be only one reason why the targeting is so specific, and has been building for so long. Yes, it strongly indicates that Judaism and Christianity must be valid, otherwise there could not and would not be such a large, cross-boundary movement that goes well beyond what any human originator could ever reasonably be seen capable of doing.

No: this goes beyond that, and it is about time that those who have been suckered into easy (but foolish) dismissals of Christianity in particular – though having no idea themselves about why there even is a universe, let alone how it came to be – started to use their God-given intelligences to see what is really going on in the world, and join up against the evil that is being done. Lip service and encouragement are not sufficient: this requires true commitment.

Let us hope that we are not found wanting, now that the chips are truly down...

Tweet of the Day – 20 January 2013

From CSLewisDaily, who is well worth following on Twitter for insightful messages of guidance such as this...
"Doctrines are not God: they are only a kind of map. But that map is based on the experience of people who really were in touch with God."
Not only does this put (proper) doctrines in their rightful and appropriate place, it also reminds us that God's guidance to us comes via many separate people, showing us that it is divine and not one person's agenda. Learning from those who came before us is a humbling but important aspect of life, especially for those who think they 'know it all' and treat it as 'irrelevant' or similar.

Many of those who firmly believe in the doctrines of God today were once the same – but then they truly grew up...

Comment of the Day – 13 January 2013

Cranmer has been looking at Richard Dawkins's latest bit of nonsense that suggests that religious people are 'stupid'.

Now, this was in a single tweet, so it is stretching things to read too much directly into that alone – but it is consistent with his and other atheists' long-held and oft-stated views, so it is reasonable to take it as being at least indicative of his attitude.

This comment by Carl Jacobs to His Grace's post expresses much of my own standard response to atheists and their general silliness; and this part of it is the nub, I have always felt...

"But can he explain consciousness? Well, no he can't.

Can he explain conscience? No he can't.

Can he explain the existence of morality? No, he can't.

Can he explain irreducible complexity? No, he can't.

Can he explain the connection between the brain and the mind? No, he can't.

Can he tell me what a thought is? No, he can't.

Can he explain the mathematical impossibility of the formation of so much as even one protein molecule of RNA? No, he can't.

Can he explain the uncaused cause for existence? No, he can't.

Can he find any purpose or meaning in the existence of man external to man's own individual desires? No, he can't.

Can he even so much as show me the data that validates the models upon which he bases so many of his conclusions? No, he can't. He has no data."
Indeed, no atheist has even the beginning of a clue about anything fundamental. For a start, there is no actual reason for there even to be a universe at all, without a Creator, let alone why there is one, where the material for it came from, what's 'outside' or beyond it, and who are we, really.

From there it just gets worse and worse for the clueless atheists; but if that's how they wish to live, that's fine in and of itself. Just don't attack those of us who do have a clue, Dawkins et al, and keep your stupid, stupid atheist trap shut!

Then again, it can be fun to demolish their stance, just as Carl Jacobs has done today...

Please to Remember

Yes, it's Guy Fawkes' Night tonight; and Cranmer offers us his customarily thoughtful angle on what happened all those years ago that resulted in this annual event.

It's a good one, reminding us how the actions of a group of Catholics (along with a couple of Jesuit priests) led to a religion-based exclusion in a number of important areas of occupation of Catholics from the capital of England. The incident helped make it easy to add to a period of existing persecution of Catholics here at that time.

His Grace's closing paragraph sums it all up, as an ongoing lesson for us all...
"Today we celebrate our national freedom, and remember the many innocent observers who were caught in the fray. Never again must a foreign prince have authority in this Realm, and never again must religion be a tool of hatred, oppression and persecution."
It can be very difficult, when an authority figure or body is under pressure from a mass of outraged public who are demanding action, to avoid falling into one of the prepared (by the devil, usually) traps. In an attempt to satisfy the people that action has been taken to avoid a repetition of anything of similar nature, a common element that can be identified and therefore managed can be the only apparent way out of a situation.

Any deferral for wiser counsel to ultimately prevail will be attributed to dithering, cowardice or even of being secret complicit in the crime (or whatever it was) – and when one has political opponents they will use any such delay in any or all of those ways, and no doubt others as well, if they can devise them.

Such is human nature, and the ability of the unscrupulous and self-serving to manipulate others and events to suit their own ends. It is one of the reasons I am so hot on the trail of that aspect of political life, and why I expose it from time to time, to remind my readers that this is how some operate. I could make a full-time job of that side of things alone, but that would become tedious and, eventually, even boring – so I moderate that part of what I do here.

However, as an object lesson, the fallout from the Gunpowder Plot serves as a useful lesson from history that applies equally to today's world, and even to today's England or Britain.

We have seen how whole groups, able to be described in simple enough terms to be used as tabloid headlines (for example), have been tarred with a particular brush, even in recent years. Sometimes there is a broad correlation between the category/description and the problem/criminality, whereas in other cases there isn't.

We, as a species, need to mature enough to avoid the pitfalls of easy categorisation (if that's a word!) which we clearly haven't done so far. Because of the numbers game, and having to appeal to – and be understood by – the lowest common denominator in our society, simplistic solutions are an easy and attractive option.

As the Gunpowder Plot shows, though, simplistic extrapolation on the basis of (say) a religion is not, certainly in most cases if not all, the right approach, and can so easily lead to completely disproportionate and inappropriate consequences..

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the essence of today's lesson: be prepared to let wiser and cooler heads prevail without pressuring them when one's thinking is clouded by excessive emotion. Passionate feelings about something can be a useful tool when applied wisely, but all too often lead us all astray, especially in mob, party and other group situations.

We all need to be alert to the danger, and resist the pressures of others to head in a bad direction, especially at times of outrage...

Testing if Religions are Valid

I'm not that good at talking to the camera; but please excuse any such personal imperfections when watching the following, which is intended to show how – with just a little common sense – it is easy to determine whether any particular religion is or is not likely to be truly the word of God, by applying three simple tests...
