On the first of every month, just after midnight, I note the number of views each of my videos has had, as well as the total number of views on my YouTube 'channel' (as they call it).
I have been interested to note that far and away the most popular has consistently been the Rainham Christmas lights switch-on, featuring De Li, which has now topped a hundred 'views'. That isn't a huge number in this business, but then there's nothing about what I produce that is likely to generate widespread interest.
Equally interesting to note is which video is the second most popular, and that turns out to be the other such lights switch-on, in Chatham, currently with 36 views on the clock.
The others are generally significantly lower, and give the feeling of being of only minority interest to the on-line viewing world. That might or might not change once I start uploading my talks, of course...
