Pal-tipine

An effect of one's brain going into "free association mode" is that odd words – especially odd names – that sound similar can get mixed together.

Those folk who have read Isaac Asimov's short story "I'm in Marsport Without Hilda" (from the Asimov's Mysteries collection) will be familiar with this topic.

Thus it is, I have found, with Palpatine of Star Wars fame and Mr Pontipine from In The Night Garden. They are too different to easily merge into one image, at least for me, so I have left them separate and side-by-side here, in a graphic I have called Pal-tipine.

Mind you, a wide bushy moustache might suit the evil one. I leave it to Empire experts such as the estimable Chris Sams to advise...
