Letter from MPs re possible Airport

Here is the letter, signed by six north Kent Members of Parliament, sent today to the Prime Minister, seeking an urgent meeting regarding the possibility of a new airport "in or around the Thames Estuary"...

UPDATE @ 1845: Mark Reckless MP has now posted this letter on his own 'blog. There are also new indications that the idea of this airport is yet again fading. I think it always has been a non-starter, but hyped by certain interests to give a different impression.

Incidentally, while I am linking to Mark's site: I too was at this event with Nirj Deva MEP – you can just see me in my usual unobtrusive photo-call position at the back!

Also out this evening is YouGov's poll on "Boris island", showing 47% oppose it, just 23% support it, and 49% believe that the UK's status as a "hub" is  safe without it.
