The old Communist-style business of indoctrinating (some might even say it's a form of brainwashing) children is still being kept alive, even here in Britain, as Mr Not-A-Sheep has found.
I have copied this video from there, where Year 4 school children in Hackney perform a rap number praising local MP Diane Abbott (also one of the Labour party leadership contenders), followed by equally cringe-worthy (and alarm bell ringing) stuff. You will be forgiven if you find you have to stop it after a few moments...
Oh John, did you have to ?
ReplyDeleteI had to stop the vid and go and puke on the local labour councillor's Mercedes
BTW .Hackney,is,nt that the slum with the highest incident of
genital herpes. As for Abbot, does her kid go to that school ?
Right at the end of the Spectrum
Well, I did warn readers that you might want to stop after a few moments...
ReplyDeleteHackney is largely made up of sink estates, but I know little more than that about the place. I did once look at it on Google Maps (satellite and street view) but doubt I shall ever repeat the exercise. It isn't very appealing to me.
Abbott Junior goes to a private school, but I don't know its name.
CITV are currently running a filler between programmes where a kid called Finlay comes and tells us all about his admiration for Che Guevara and how he would have like to have fought for his cause. I kid you not (excuse the pun). Tiny steps. Drip. Drip. Drip.
ReplyDeleteAmazing; but I suppose these days unsurprising.
ReplyDeleteAs you say, it's drip-fed indoctrination; and very it's very difficult to counter, even if parents are aware of any of this kind of thing going on (children generally have TVs in their bedrooms these days).
