This September will play host to a food & drink event in the Historic Rochester High Street. The event will take place over a week starting on Monday 13th September, with a selection of special promotions from Rochester Traders. From Capon the butchers will be making a special sausage for the event and the Rochester Coffee Co will be offering 2-4-1 on their famous chocolate fondues. The event is being held to celebrate the start of British food and drink fortnight and to highlight the farmers market which takes place monthly in Rochester.
On Saturday (18th) of the event the high street will be a hive of activity with stalls from the farmers market, live musicians playing throughout the high street, food demonstrations, a tea party and stalls in the grounds of Eastgate House and costumed characters.
So there you have it. I certainly intend to be there, probably on several days, including the Saturday extravaganza.
