This week's resurfacing of Ordnance Street in Chatham, near the railway station, is not a result of my own efforts: I was aware when I moved here that it had already been scheduled for some time, and was due to be done around this part of this year, so had no reason to intervene.
The rather clumsy and primitive ELGIN system sort-of shows this work was due, via a "no entry" symbol at the northern end of the road only; but I was working from more solid info than that!
Anyway, just to be clear: this was already in the schedule before I needed to act.
Just in case anyone was (understandably) wondering if this was one of mine...
Incidentally, my series of Case Studies will resume once the River ward by-election is out of the way. I have literally dozens from which to choose(!)
