Union Leader Has Parliamentary Pass

The Unite union's Charlie Whelan has been seen coming and going at the Palace of Westminster of a number of occasions; and now it is known that he has had a Parliamentary pass, provided via the Labour Party, since the middle of last year.

This really does look like Labour treating Parliament as just as accessible to Labour Party-funding public sector Union bosses as to actual voted-in representatives of the electorate. It tells us a great deal about the contempt in which Labour holds the institution that is the British Parliament and the privileges it bestows.

The implications are several, and all are of concern, as a moment or two's thought will bring to one's mind...
